EFSA statement on Anses reports without any new information

19 Dec 2011 −

The results of a review published by the European Food Safety Authority EFSA in early December show no new findings concerning health effects of bisphenol A (BPA). The statement was prepared at the request of the European Commission to comment on the September 2011 Anses reports. These reports issued by the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety caused the government in France to ban food packaging which contains BPA from 2014 on.
