The German polyamide market

EUWID respondents reported slight excess supply of PA 6 for packaging applications towards the end of 2011. Suppliers were well stocked. On the other hand there were also a number of stoppages: from mid-November one larger supplier had stopped a plant in the Nether-lands for three weeks. Another competitor supposedly had two weeks downtime on a production line. The lines of the remaining suppliers were operating to capacity, also in between the years, according to reports.
