National competition and market authority AGCM has opened an antitrust investigation against major producers of corrugated sheets and corrugated packaging in Italy and the industry association GIFCO for alleged market manipulation and price fixing.
In an official document, AGCM claimes that it has evidence that a number of integrated corrugated cardboard manufacturers co-ordinated their sales policies in a series of at least eight meetings between 2015 and 2016.
