Manufacturers of label paper reported strong deliveries in the first half of the year. After demand picked up relatively quickly in the first quarter, order books remained well filled throughout the entire second quarter, producers told EUWID. The industry was benefiting from catch-up demand from printing companies as well as the early start to summer weather, not to mention the football World Cup, they explained.In terms of shipments, the third quarter was also getting off to a fairly good start. The order situation had improved considerably compared to the same period of the previous year, said the majority of paper producers.
