Contrary to what several market players had thought, supply pressure was limited in the French recycled corrugated case material business as last year ended and this year began. As always, overall
inventories increased over the holidays, but fell again from mid-month onwards. As the end of January drew near, stocks were still higher than in December but were modest enough not to have a substantial impact on prices. Most prices were apparently unchanged between December and January.
