Many virgin-fibre cartonboard suppliers are reporting that they have already wrapped up more than half of their price talks and will be invoicing more from 1 January onwards.
So far, reports indicate that prices have risen by £35-55/t, some are reporting even more.
Non-European suppliers want to raise their prices as well. Shifts and hikes have also materialised for contracts involving very big customers and large quantities.
