Negotiations to hash out cartonboard prices are largely done and dusted, paving the way for higher GC cartonboard prices in France.
However, insiders made very different comments about how much prices had risen. The amount in question hinged on the previous price, the type and size of the customer and also the manufacturer in question, sources told EUWID in January.
The bulk of sources quoted mark-ups of around €40/t. Sometimes higher figures were mentioned as were deals featuring smaller increases.
