Prices for recovered paper and pulp, the most important raw materials for paper production, are still high or rising further.
On the market for corrugated case material in France and across Europe, there is a real bump in consumption and demand: In the first months of this year, deliveries of corrugated board rose sharply and paper producers have full order books. Because recovered paper prices defied many players’ expectations and remained high in June, paper producers have initiated a new price round and are asking for yet another mark-up as of July. Kraftliner prices are also poised to rise again in August.
