The French recovered paper market: Prices edge higher in April

The French recovered paper market has experienced price hikes for ordinary grades again on the back of good demand. Mixed paper (1.02), supermarket paper and board (1.04) and old corrugated containers (1.05) became another €5-10/t more expensive in April, meaning that prices have typically climbed by €15/t over the past two of months.

Market players said that this relatively sizeable mark-up was spurred by a combination of good demand and not exactly overwhelming supply.
