The French recovered paper market: Weaker supply in May causes prices to rise

There were some logistical difficulties in France during May which left a mark on the recovered paper market.

In addition, there was renewed turbulence on the Chinese export market.

These factors led to price increases for several grades on the French recovered paper market. Mixed paper and board (1.02), supermarket paper and board (1.04) and old corrugated containers (1.05) generally became €10/t more expensive in May.

The price range for mixed paper remains broad because there are still varying qualities and therefore also varying prices on the market.
