The French recovered paper market: Diverging price trends for different grades

The French recovered paper market remained quiet in August and encountered no major changes. Nonetheless, diverging trends are emerging for different recovered paper grades. While ordinary

grades tend to become cheaper, upward pressure tends to prevail for other grades. At the end of the day, however, all recovered paper prices were the same in August in France as they had been in July. EUWID sources said that the availability of mixed paper and OCC was decent in France given the time of year. Even though collection volumes were lower in the holiday month of August, no shortages were seen.
