Coreboard manufacturers report a somewhat sluggish start to the 2016 business year. January failed to meet their business expectations.
While business gathered pace to some extent in February, the market on the whole “could yield more”, said reports from the market in the middle of February. Prices moved laterally from December 2015 until into February but some volumes were offered on the spot market in the first days of January, say converters.
In contrast, the core industry presented a more lively picture in January while February also lends support to the optimistic outlook of the industry for the 2016 business year.
