Companies producing winding cores reported stable order intake as of mid-October, but said they were not as overbooked as they had been in the past. “We are busy, but we could do more”, commented companies in the industry. Firms surveyed by EUWID reported that the year-on-year-sales and volume figures in October were higher than in the same period of last year.
Companies believe that the slightly subdued market situation is partly due to the lack of business with Russia and the recent continuous decline in order levels from the automotive sector.
