Manufacturers of envelope and shipping bag paper look back on strong orders in Germany in the fourth quarter of 2015. Orders have increased especially for white woodfree envelope paper. “We can look back on a fine business year in volume terms”, a producer told EUWID. In response to the high demand, prices were increased partly from August and in many cases from 1 October by as much as €40/t depending on where they stood. 2016 also appears to have begun well for producers as they could fall back on a sizeable order backlog.
