From what manufacturers reported, the already brisk demand on the central European flat-pallet markets in January/February remained undiminished in March, too, and was not showing any signs of weakening.
Owing to the scattered instances of bottlenecks in deliveries at the start of the year and manufacturers’ greater backlogs of orders and longer delivery periods, some customers have tried to place bigger contract volumes on the market than originally planned.
As the first quarter drew to a close it looked as if demand for load carriers in the second quarter is going to remain brisk at the current level.
