The price hikes of €0.10-0.30/unit already demanded in March by various Central European pallet producers had not been implemented for standard pallets by the beginning of May.
Despite undiminished high volumes of business, large-scale buyers and suppliers rolled over prices reached by the end of March for both EUR and chemical pallets until further notice, apart from some marginal corrections.
Markets for used pallets have also seen no appreciable changes in recent weeks.
Because of the volume of business, utilisation of production capacity among pallet producers was at a very high level at the beginning of May.
