The corrugated board industry in Germany is said to be operating at excessive workloads in mid-April.
This situation would likely continue to play out at least into the summer. In interviews with EUWID, representatives of the corrugated board industry quoted lead times stretching into June and July. An issue that should actually put businesses in a good mood is becoming a real litmus test for the industry, which was not ready for production levels this high. Additional demand for paper was huge resulting in high workloads at paper mills.
