"May has got off to a turbulent start”, a EUWID respondent comments on the current situation in the German recovered paper market. It already became clear in April that prices would continue their upward trend in May and this time the price rise can be seen across all grades. As in the pre-vious month, there have been regional differ-ences in May as regards the extent of the rise, market sources say. Suppliers in the south and west of Germany continue to benefit from strong demand from France and Spain.
