Demand for recycled corrugated case material in Germany was high shortly before the holidays.
Certain paper grades and weight ranges were said to be “difficult to obtain” and “easy to sell”. Inventories stood at a level that would normally give rise to ideas about hiking price – which is what some people were already doing, according to market experts.
However, further developments remained to be seen because market players reported a renewed drop in prices in December.
