The French association of preserves suppliers FIAC says its members are facing significant price hikes for metal packaging made of tinplate and aluminium.
Such mark-ups had serious consequences for the producers of preserves, especially since the share of cans in the overall cost of the product ranged from 15-40% depending on the specifications and intended purpose.
