Coreboard manufacturers active on the German market are reporting unusually strong business at the start of August. Due to the good demand from the paper and film industry, summer
stoppages performed by Italian board producers and scheduled maintenances by suppliers, lead times are now up to four weeks in a few instances. Price concessions made for the second quarter had
disappeared during the third quarter amid good workloads. One or two converters were still trying to explore their opportunities, but producers felt that there was no need to make concessions.
