Germany’s market for lightweight MG kraft paper (40 g) has altered since the last EUWID market report was researched in January.
Demand from packaging producers is subdued across all grades in Germany and throughout Europe. At the same time, surplus supply is evident.
Manufacturers are openly pondering taking downtime or have already idled machines to reduce this surplus. Prices are pointing significantly lower.
