Demand on the market for lightweight MG kraft papers (40 g) in Germany remained strong at the end of June.
The paper industry still had bulging order books for white and brown grades and delivery times, even for contractually agreed volumes, were long. The upward price trend showed no signs of stopping.
Logistics was causing headaches for producers of paper and packaging. The situation was challenging because lorry cargo space is scarce and even rail capacity is not always fully available, EUWID was told.
On the price front, quotes for white and brown kraft paper (40 g) were still trending upwards at the end of June.
