Players on the French cartonboard market were just biding their time in November, as everyone’s attention is already focused on the coming year.
Customers have called for price reductions, but these are usually being put off until 2024, according to market participants. As a result, cartonboard prices were typically untouched in November and fell no further after the price reductions in October. This was true for both fresh fibre as well as recycled board.
