Following lateral movement of recycled containerboard prices in June, EUWID respondents in Germany were hesitant to indicate concrete prices for July even in the last days of the month.
Some respondents think that the month’s prices will be carried forward into July, a month when market players used to discuss summer rebates. But now, prices have fallen so low as to permit no further discounts, producers argue. They add that they have not been able to cover costs for several months.
