Demand for corrugated case material in Poland continued to recede in the second quarter.
Production capacities for recycled qualities have increased even as consumption decreased last year, with the result that paper mills have too few orders.
With inventories high and ineffective countermeasures, sellers of brown recycled corrugated case material were for the first time forced to offer discounts from 1 July to customers. "Having to make price corrections amidst concurrently rising production costs is painful,” a supplier remarked.
