The hot topic on the British cartonboard market is still the mark-ups announced for recycled board. EUWID sources have very mixed views about these plans. While one manufacturer claimed to have already implemented a mark-up of £30 for GD II board and grey board that applies to orders from 1 June onwards and deliveries from 1 July, other manufacturers were confident that there would be no market-wide hikes for recycled board. Many converters share this view. They stressed to EUWID that price talks were still in progress and deals had not been signed and sealed yet.
