Recycled corrugated case material producers have sounded the bell for a new round of price talks for European markets. Manufacturers intend to charge more for all recycled grades delivered from 1 February.
Insiders told EUWID that this announcement "in principle” should apply to the British market, too. Yet, when talking to market players it became clear that manufacturers first want to wait and see whether and how much prices rise on the Continent before taking similar action in the UK, if feasible.
In the event that they did implement higher prices on the Continent, sellers would try to up their prices from the middle of the month or from the start of March.
