Towards the end of the third quarter the British market for aerosol packaging is characterized by excess demand. This applies to cans made of tinplate as well as aerosol cans made of aluminium. The strong demand mainly stems from the personal care sector, but other sectors such as household goods have also been fuelling demand. "We are noticing strong pressure along the entire distribution chain," an EUWID respondent said. This has occasionally led to some companies relocating production in order to meet customers’ demand; other companies are resorting to measures such as extra time to meet the brisk demand.
