A round of price talks on the GD board market was still in full swing in the penultimate week in March. In France and other European markets, recycled board manufacturers are working to lift their prices by €40-50/t for deliveries from 1 April. Producers are reporting that a large number of price deals have already been signed and sealed. A few agreements feature the entire mark-up from 1 April, insiders told EUWID. However, a few businesses compromised on the magnitude and timing of the price rise. Two instalments had been secured – one in April and the other at the start of May – or buyers and sellers had agreed on 15 April or 1 May as the date from which board would become more expensive.
