Cartonboard prices in France stabilised in June at the recently achieved high levels.
A few producers continue to apply surcharges, usually energy surcharges, but even an inflation surcharge is being added to invoices. On close inspection, there were slight changes in prices and conditions, for example, adjustments of the energy surcharge, but otherwise prices for both GD and GC in June were often unchanged compared with the previous month.
It appears that producers have various plans for July: Some intend for prices to remain unchanged and stable, while others are attempting to introduce another round of price hikes.
