The beverage can industry has finally entered the peak season, although this had so far fallen short of expectations. The new regulations planned by the Federal Environment Ministry in the Packaging Act were ruffling feathers throughout the industry. They were “not expedient,” said associations, and beverage can manufacturers were even calling them “absolute nonsense.” Demand for aerosol cans eased slightly at the beginning of July, but suppliers’ operating rates remained high.
