Over the course of October, all EUWID respondents reported declines of €30/t for brown kraftliner in Germany. Semi-chemical fluting and white-top were not yet affected by price reductions. Moreover, supply and demand were more balanced for the latter two grades than for unbleached kraftliner. In the final week of October, it was still unclear how the market would develop in November. Several EUWID respondents expected that a decline in recycled corrugated case material prices would lead to a further slide in kraftliner quotes and both grades would show a similar drop....
