The German paper and board market: Recovered paper prices climb higher again in April

The upward price trajectory continued on the German recovered paper market in April.  Nearly all grades became more expensive.

For now, there are no signs of an impending turnaround. Most respondents do not expect any significant change in the market situation in the coming months. The industry’s order books remain fairly full and recovered paper arisings are likely to decline during the summer holidays. Consequently, there are no signs yet of a trend reversal for prices, which several market participants currently describe as "unhealthy.”
