According to EUWID market sources warehouses along the PET supply chain were full in early October.
The rate at which raw material and finished goods were leaving manufacturers', converters' and customers' facilities had slowed considerably.
Order volumes have been cut back. Some players in the packaging industry reported reductions of up to 20%. At the same time, there was more than enough PET available to the market.
