The market for rigid plastic packaging in Germany was at a good level at the time of EUWID's research at the end of May.
Demand from the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and dental care segments remained unchanged, according to producers of plastic tubes. However, some industry experts were observing an increasing shift in incoming orders in favour of private labels and low-priced consumer brands.
In the food container market, demand from hotels, restaurants and catering was picking up again after two tough Covid-19 years. Demand from the retailers and the industry for rigid plastic containers remained positive.
