The situation on Poland’s recycled corrugated case material market was largely unchanged in November: Surplus supply throughout Europe, paper manufacturers’ excessively high inventories and falling recovered paper costs are putting pressure on prices despite healthy demand and are triggering sizeable price cuts. Quotes for recycled corrugated case material dropped by a total of €40-50/t in Poland in October and November. The trend from a seller’s to a buyer’s market had been predictable, one producer told EUWID, but described the severity of these price cuts as surprising. These prices are still "wobbly”.
