The Polish corrugated board market

The upbeat mood of Polish players in the corrugated board and corrugated packaging market has dulled in the course of the first quarter. For many companies in the segment, demand for packaging fell behind expectations from February or March. Load levels at several corrugated board mills in the country are insufficient, according to reports. Complaints were heard especially from companies in eastern Poland. While one section of the industry believed that the dent in demand would be short-lived and was not to be overrated, others were less confident.

It is quite apparent that the uncertain political climate in Ukraine and Russia is not conducive to the Polish economy. Trade relations have become more difficult, say experts.
