In mid-May, market developments for chemical-technical (CT) containers and food cans were mostly very restrained.
Can manufacturers told EUWID about significant volume declines in the first months of this year. Estimates even assumed a drop in deliveries of CT cans of 15-20% between January and April.
According to the statements, the aerosol can segment, on the other hand, was "astonishingly" stable, and operating rates were much better here than in the corresponding period last year. Crown cap manufacturers reported good business and were no longer extremely busy. Delivery times in this segment had mostly returned to a normal level.
