The supply situation in the tinplate packaging market largely eased in the first half of this year. The can and closure producers surveyed by EUWID unanimously reported that the volumes fixed with the tinplate industry for the whole of 2022 would be sustained without any problems. There reportedly was no need for additional tonnages anyway due to weak demand for their own products in many segments. Only individual packaging manufacturers were trying to "get a little extra"....
