The entry into force of the Italian "plastic tax", a tax on single-use plastic packaging, has been postponed again to 1 July 2024, according to the Italian Council of Ministers' draft budget for 2024.
This is the sixth time that the tax has been postponed. The plastic tax was originally due to come into force in July 2020.
