A life cycle assessment (LCA) presented by Metal Packaging Europe (MPE) shows a significant decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. The data collected relates to the year 2018 and covers the life cycle of metal packaging produced in Europe: from raw material extraction and production to the end of life of the packaging. The LCA includes beverage cans made of aluminium, food cans made of tinplate and aluminium, aerosol cans made of tinplate, as well as chemical-technical packaging, promotional packaging and closures made of tinplate....
