Slight dip in demand for aluminium cans

Demand for aerosol cans made of aluminium in Great Britain has softened, but it still remains at a high level.

The unusual heatwave is fueling additional demand for deodorants and body sprays.

The statements made by suppliers of tinplate regarding developments in the first half of 2018 were rather varied. Passing on the rising tinplate prices from the beginning of the year had also been varied.

The main talking points right now were driven by speculation over new can capacities and the withdrawal of a major contract filler from the British market.
