The British packaging paper market:
Corrugated case material prices edge higher

01 Feb 2021 −

Paper remained in scant supply in January in the UK.

Brown recycled corrugated case material was especially hard hit, allowing manufacturers to impose higher prices at the start of January. Many experts were confident that prices for recycled containerboard would continue on an upward trajectory. One producer has already unveiled plans to charge more in mainland Europe and in the UK in February.

Brown kraftliner has become more expensive from January, too. Additional price increases look set to follow here as well.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the British paper and board market. The EUWID Price Watch for January together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 3/2021.
