The British packaging paper market:
Outcome of white-top kraftliner price talks still unclear

02 Oct 2018 −

Many experts reported ample supply of white-top kraftliner in September, with just a few insiders mentioning a shortage.

The outcome of price negotiations for white-top kraftliner was still unclear at the time of going to press.

Manufacturers told EUWID that talks were ongoing so no details were available. They underscored high pulp costs and the need to catch up on pricing for this grade, which had not increased in price anywhere near as much as brown kraftliner.

However, they were not ruling out the possibility of a mark-up being split into two instalments.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the British paper and board market. The EUWID Price Watch for September together with the complete report were published in EUWID Packaging Markets 20/2018.
