The British recovered paper market:
Prices for a few grades remain under downward pressure

28 Mar 2019 −

Many recovered paper prices continued to decrease on the British market in March amidst weak demand and despite low arisings.

Even though the amount of recovered paper collected in the UK was fairly low in March, prices for a few grades remained under downward pressure as demand was "disappointing,” according to market players.

The majority of the UK’s paper mills had full inventories and were not buying much.

Demand from China remained slow, too.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the British paper and board market. The EUWID Price Watch for March together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 7/2019.
