The British recovered paper market:
Stable prices thanks to exports

25 Sep 2020 −

The British recovered paper market was proving quite stable towards the middle of September, something that experts are chiefly attributing to low collection volumes and continued good demand from export markets.

When all was said and done, collection volumes were still falling short of expectations and were lower than was normal at this time of year, experts reported. The main factor here was the decline in commercial collections. Recovered paper from printers was in especially short supply.

The UK continued to experience very solid demand for mixed paper and board (1.02) and old corrugated containers (OCC, 1.05) from other countries in mid-September, contacts told EUWID.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the British recovered paper market. The EUWID Price Watch for September together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 20/2020.
