The French cartonboard market:
GC manufacturers facing mounting pressure from costs

The French GC cartonboard market is faring well from the perspective of manufacturers.

Most producers are pleased with demand. The market is experiencing some growth against a backdrop of the macroeconomic environment and the substitution of a few GD applications with GC. Lead times for GC are presently listed at four to five weeks or sometimes longer.

High pulp costs are what is giving cartonboard producers headaches.
