The French packaging paper market:
Corrugated case material prices more stable

11 Jul 2019 −

Prices of recycled corrugated case material on the French market stabilised in many cases in June, at least temporarily, putting a stop to the price erosion that set in since the fourth quarter of last year.

A few final downward corrections were implemented for orders that were negotiated in May and delivered in June, with a time lag compared to the bulk of the transactions.

Prices on the kraftliner market in France were also more stable than in earlier months. Several respondents claimed that kraftliner prices in France remained unchanged unlike in other European markets.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the French paper and board market. The EUWID Price Watch for June together with the complete report were published in EUWID Packaging Markets 14/2019.
