The French paper and board market:
Another price increase of €30 for recycled corrugated case material in July

05 Aug 2021 −

The producers’ announced hike of €50/t for recycled corrugated case material was partially implemented in July.

As a rule, prices in France rose by around €30/t for both brown and white grades. It was still unclear whether the remaining €20 are still being pursued and negotiated. Some producers said they wanted to charge this amount as of August, while others said they wanted to see where recovered paper prices were heading before making any further moves. Prices for the ordinary recovered paper grades used to make packaging were stable in France in July.
